DESCRIPTION

This excursion allows to visit, at the same time, two interesting valleys. The first is near Atrani and is linked to the production the so called “Pasta di Atrani”, made using the watermills near the torrent Dragone. The second one is the so called “Mills Valley” (or “Ironworks Valley”): here, by the means of the waters of the torrent Grevone, the Amalfitans produced the famous “handmade paper of Amalfi”.Two are the stops during the tour: Torre delle Ziro, where it is possible to enjoy a marvellous view of the Amalfi coast, and Pontone, typical agricultural village and ideal place for a peaceful pause and a tasty lunch. The “Mills Valley” offers charming features: along the way it is possible to view an astonishing green landscape ending in a protected oasis and ancient ruins of the last century. At the end of this excursion there is Amalfi, rich in history and traditions.
